How long does account migration take to propagate across the Fediverse?
How long does the domain the account was migrated from need to remain active to prevent annoying other servers?
Hypothetically, if 1.domain.tld was running fedi server A and 2.domain.tld was running fedi server A, could 1.domain.tld be taken offline 30 days or so after all (one) users had migrated over? What if someone then set up fedi server B on 1.domain.tld 30 days or so after that? Would that still make the server log gods angry about the changed keys and different locations of resources?

@DMakarios FWIW, I expect any street cat likely to get a heart attack from fear would have done so before landing in your shed. I think them escaping as you try to get them into the carrier is more likely.
If you want to get them to a vet, I'd suggest an experienced partner, protective gear for you both, and a thick towel to firmly purrito Batcat before getting them into the carrier. One person tip it so the door is on top, and hold it steady, while the other person puts the swaddled cat in head first. Don't tip it back to horizontal until you've tested the door.
Note: I've never rescued a feral, let alone an injured one. This works on reluctant cats who otherwise trust me. Adding hashtags to see if anyone who has worked with ferals can advise.
Software dev people: is it sane to take a long sabbatical (say 1 year) to work on side projects, learn new languages, patterns, etc? Assuming I could afford it.
There is a part of me that says I should just be working on these things alongside my job. But I've been trying that for a long time and it is very hard to keep up motivation / stay focused on one thing when you see such slow progress.

Hello #fediverse! I need suggestions for a new laptop. I am most comfortable with windows PCs & have been anti Apple (mostly bc they have less storage for more $) but I do not like windows 10 or 11. I do not want copilot or any AI horseshit or spyware disguised as a service. I know that people are going to suggest Linux but I had a Linux laptop that died & I don't have time to maintain it.
