Ariana Afghan Airlines has announced the completion of an agreement to purchase a new chartered cargo aircraft, which will arrive in the country soon.

Baktulrahman Sharaft, the company’s director, stated that the purchase of this cargo aircraft demonstrates Ariana Afghan Airlines' commitment to supporting national merchants.

Sharaft added that the company is striving to support the advancement of the country’s commercial, particularly export, processes, and to provide stronger, more reliable, and competitive air transport services.

The Taliban’s controversial senior religious scholar, Sheikh Abdul Sami Ghaznavi, called for jihad against “republican governments” in Islamic countries, specifically naming Pakistan.

He argued that merely allowing Islamic practices does not make a country Islamic; only an Islamic system—not a republican one—can do so.

In an implicit critique of the Taliban leadership, he argued that if someone rejects the obligation of jihad against Pakistan today, then they should also have rejected the obligation of jihad against the former Republic government in Kabul.

"We are not fighting the Pakistani people, nor are we waging a national war. Our fight is against the Republic, which we consider to be infidelity. By fighting the Republic, we believe we are doing good for you and working to free you from it, and the Mujahideen will achieve this through their sacrifices."

He expressed gratitude to the Pakistani public for hosting Afghan refugees over the past five decades. Ghaznavi also claimed that the world, including America, Europe, and Pakistan, should be grateful to Afghans for “saving them from the threat of communism” by defeating the Soviet Union.

The Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan, Maulawi Sardar Ahmed Shakib, has met with the Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert Khouryf.

The Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad wrote on its X page that the meeting included comprehensive discussions on the status and future of Kabul-Moscow relations and the recent developments in the region.

Mr. Shakib stated that Afghanistan seeks constructive relations with countries of the region and the world based on mutual respect, and is ready for all forms of cooperation for regional peace and stability.

On the other hand, the Russian Ambassador to Pakistan praised the growing relations between Kabul and Moscow, adding that Russia is striving to play a positive and responsible role for regional stability.

Pakistani military-controlled media has reported that a drone attack using a quadcopter targeted a post of the regime’s police in the Wara Mamund area of Bajaur district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It is said that four soldiers were injured in the attack, with the condition of two considered critical.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but Pakistani Taliban have an active presence in Bajaur.
