"Residents are suffering falls because care givers are unable to give them the support they need. They’re being put in continence products because they don’t have time to toilet them and they have infections because nurses are too busy to change their dressings and facilities are buying cheap wound products, and even cutting them in half, to save money,"

So, apparently, in 2025 facilities are happy to let people die in screaming pain, because god forbid they should provide actual pain relief.

I completed a Masters in pain management in 2000. I lectured about pain control in older people. My thesis was on nurses' knowledge of pain management. It seems not only have things not improved, they've become much, much worse.
