Solar farm leases provide stable, predictable income that helps financially secure family farms and boosts rural tax revenues with minimal land impact

Modern farming is characterized by high capital investment and volatile costs for inputs like fertilizer and fuel. Solar development offers a steady, long-term economic counterpoint to these pressures, helping to secure the continuation of family-owned agricultural land

The largest solar farm in Alaska now doubles as an agricultural test site.
Researchers are experimenting with agrivoltaics — cultivating crops between solar arrays — to see if clean energy and food production can thrive together.
A promising path for climate resilience and local food security.

Totally yes, #agrivoltaics has the best of both worlds.
- Where there is too much sun, plants gets a little shade and the earth less evaporation.
- At the same time, the plants evapotranspiration processes cool the panels from the underside so they work better.
A beautiful example of complete synergy. :)

@primonatura Interestingly enough; Dyson helped the vertical agro industry survive, by introducing 'ferris wheel' rotation methods, in cycling plants to and fro greenhouse roofs, optimizing sun exposure while continuing to protect against adverse elements. This tech can be further combined with agrivoltaic and solar panel cooling, via exposing plants to water below, raising water to solar panels above for cooling, in more areas that require further power consumption.

Not called for. The "uncertain" effects can be quantified in sunlight exposure hours, temperature (heat degree days) and red to far red light ratio. Not to mention protection from heatwaves. magazine.wein.plus/news/cotes-

If it succeeds, Elmbrook's sheep won't just be trimming grass. They will be shaping a blueprint for how rural land can power communities in more ways than one. #Agrivoltaics

Korea’s agrivoltaics push isn’t about panels—it’s land classification + tenure.
8→23-yr permits, district siting, farmer revenue-sharing, monthly imagery checks (5× fines on abuse).
That’s project-finance math.
