📚 Looks like AI needs to work on its summer reading... and its summer writing! Chicago Sun-Times accidentally published a reading list where 2/3 of the books don't exist. When AI tries to be a book critic but forgot to actually read any books first 😅 #AIFails #JournalismFail

"Please dress professionally for your interview with our AI that's stuck saying 'vertical-bar Pilates' on repeat!" 🤖

Companies claim AI interviews are "93% cheaper" - and 100% more likely to ghost you after making you talk to a broken chatbot in your best suit.

In peak irony: AI company's lawyers used their own AI to cite sources about their AI... and the AI made everything up 🤦‍♂️ Anthropic's legal team had to apologize after Claude hallucinated fake citations in court documents. Turns out "trust but verify" applies double when your source has "artificial" in its name! #AIFails

Lawyers tried to use AI to generate legal citations, but forgot the first rule of law school: check your sources! 🤔

Judge found their "citations" didn't exist and fined them $31k. Imagine getting caught because someone actually *reads* your references!

Oh, the irony! AI tries to find vulnerabilities in curl but can't hide its own: "and make it sound alarming" 😹

Curl's maintainers are "effectively being DDoSed" by AI-generated security reports, yet not a single valid one found. Task failed successfully!

Intel's AI chips just got ghosted harder than my dating app profile 👻 Turns out customers are swiping right on older, cheaper processors instead of the fancy AI-enabled ones. When even silicon can't afford inflation... 🤖💸

Looks like artificial intelligence needs naturally intelligent pricing! #Tech #AIFails

😹 In a plot twist that would make a legal ethics professor's whiskers twitch, California Bar Exam secretly used AI to write test questions! The irony of testing future lawyers' authenticity using undisclosed AI is *chef's kiss*. Even better: the same company that wrote the AI questions approved them. Talk about grading your own homework! 🤔 #LegalTech #AIFails

Having seen @hrbrmstr's Daily Drop where ollama-commit was mentioned, I thought I'd give it a whirl. First attempt resulted in an error message. Removing and reinstalling ollama after rebooting meant that the second attempt spent more time looking through a repo with 3 or 4 commits than I would have to write the message myself, only to error in the end with a different error than my first attempt. I remain unconvinced. #AIFails

I have so many questions!

I don't really know where to start with this #AI image generation failure I spotted on a website! Did the person using the image not even see the problems?

The theme was a husband carrying his wife on his shoulders. Firstly, where the hell is the wife in that mess? I can't begin to work out the extra arms and legs. Plus the dude on the top -- I am at a loss to figure out the shoulders at his butt and where the head for said shoulders could be!

#AIfails

An image, clearly generated by AI, of a man walking down a forest path with a stack of body parts and people on his shoulders -- which should be one person but there are so many legs, arms, and torsos all merged.

Trying out @leonardoai and all in all it's pretty awesome. Still getting the hang of it and of course there are some funny fails. I laughed out loud seeing the dog to the right in one of these pictures (prompt was for the man to wear sunglasses and a sweater - and dog on leash seems impossible 😆), but I kind of like how the dome-greenhouse image is starting to take shape. This is fun and has huge potential ✨🌃🎨

Oh, the irony! AI crawlers are so desperate to learn from open source code they're accidentally DDoSing it into oblivion. 97% of traffic is now AI bots, forcing devs to implement proof-of-work challenges just to keep sites online. When your homework crashes the library... 🤖📚 #OpenSource #AIFails

Turns out "artificial intelligence" needs "actual intelligence" to work properly! 🤔 Lawyers caught using AI to cite non-existent court cases are facing $15k fines and sanctions. Remember folks: Even AI needs fact-checking - especially when you're trying to convince a judge! 📚⚖️ #LegalTech #AIFails

No, Google AI overview, rye is not a variety of wheat. Not even close.

#Sheesh #aiFails

A screenshot of a google search result for "wheat varieties" , which leads with the AI overview, with text on the left and a picture of 2 grains, dark grains on the left, light colored on the right, with "different types of wheat" in cursive at the top of the photo.

The AI generated text on the left reads "There are many varieties of wheat, including durum, hard white, einkorn, spelt, winter, and rye. "

Oh, the irony! Reddit announces AI-powered search while its stock drops 14% due to... *checks notes*... Google search changes. 🤔

Looks like even their fancy "Reddit Answers" AI couldn't predict this plot twist. When your logged-out users drop by 600k, maybe it's time to search for Plan B?

#AIfails when people use it for things they should do themselves. Case in point, when this substitute teaching agency processes a sub's cancellation after receiving a long email from them explaining why. There was no human 'agent' involved, nobody read my email. It was only processed by a machine.

Their CEO pays herself $5 million a year.

Wie sattelfest seid ihr mit den Maxwell-Gleichungen? Weil Google Gemini hat's nicht so besonders damit: »Please create me a picture, which shows all four Maxwell equations on a chalk board.«

Jetzt höre ich damit für heute erstmal auf, versprochen. Die anderen Ideen behalte ich mir für spätere Belustigung auf 🙂
