Auf dem Bild ist eine Gruppe von Zimmerpflanzen zu sehen, die unter einer künstlichen Lampe stehen.

Im Vordergrund befindet sich eine sukkulente Pflanze (vermutlich eine **Aloe** oder ein **Gasteria-/Aloe-Hybride**), die einen langen, verzweigten Blütenstängel mit zahlreichen länglichen, orange-rosafarbenen Knospen trägt. Diese Knospen sind typisch für Aloe-Blütenstände.

Fotografiert ist eine Pflanze mit rosettenförmigem Wuchs. Die Blätter sind an der Basis etwa 2 cm breit, bis 10 cm lang und enden mit einer kleinen Spitze.
Auffällig ist die blaugrüne Farbe der Blätter. Auf der Oberfläche gibt es rundherum
zahlreiche kleiner Auswüchse in der Farbe Orange.

Granny aloe is in bloom again! Also, I finally bothered to correctly identify it as a soap aloe, #aloe #maculata, from South Africa! Came a long way to end up on my porch! The aloe vera (not pictured) is also doing well, and I even accidentally hybridized them so now I'm growing one of a kind aloes!

A large soap aloe, its broad dark leaves have a spiked edge and they form a large star, with a single stalk shooting from the middle topped by a crown of reddening blossoms not yet opened.

Having a Mendelian time with my aloe veras!

On the back row, 4 successive "generations" of the left-most plant (I call her granny!👵🏻). Each time it made it a pup, I'd repot it. (I stopped that after 4 years and the realization that I don't need #InfiniteAloe!)

The front-most pot contains my initial collection of "grassy aloe" as I think of it.

In the middle two pots, I planted shoots from both. I guess the roots must mingle because they seem to hybridize. It's funny to me how they seemed to hybridize in opposite manners. The left-middle pot starting growing darker and the rosette aloe grew narrower leaves. The right-middle pot's grassy aloe started to grow wider, more rosette-ish leaves while the rosette variant matched the shade of the grassy aloe and started getting narrower leaves also.
