Day 28 - Forest Spirits

I've been intending to do Kodama. Did my own twist on them being spectral energy attached to the trees

A deep green background with white line art on the pencil setting. Setting is a forest, with deepening greens to blacks in the background to imply depth, and bright green at the top for leaves. There are two prominent trees - one on the left and one laying on the ground with moss and mushrooms growing on it, and both main trees have holes in them. There is grass growing all around. A tree in the background has a root sticking up. Bright green spirits are poking from behind the two main trees, holding onto them, and looking at the viewer with curiousity.

Day 27 - Bump In The Night

I accidentally made it a cute. And also did this in about 5 minutes? Either I am in the zone today or my brain is giving ZERO f's

Day 26 -

Optional 500-1400 word story for Creatober on my server. So I figured... Why not choose Creative Block for that prompt?

The writing was a bit of a pain to do, I ironically had writer's block at points

A desk in a dark room, with swooping rounded legs and a single drawer. Where light touches, the lines are black and shadows get drawn. Where darkness is, the lines are white and bright spots are drawn. There is a stained cup on the top left corner with a pencil sticking out. On the desk are three pages with a story written on them, though blurry and nigh on impossible to read. A container is knocked over on the right with a pencil falling out of it. On the papers is a feather pen. Blood and ink is splattered across the papers and desk.

Day 25 -

Hand I think I could do a bit better, but overall I like this

Black background. Sun up above, with blues fading into greens then blacks around it to help indicate depths. Bubbles are rising as a hand reaches out weakly. All drawn in a sketch style

Day 24 -

I'll admit, this was more an excuse to get some ideas for drawing a busted down home. Did not take long to realize I need to practice busted beams

Also, I am not built for daily drawing. I start treating it like a chore unless it's a prompt that excites me

Busted down home with beams crashing down, flames licking up, a busted wall, peeling wallpaper. Can see a hallway through a door, and another room through that. That is one bad flame

So uh, turns out things are easier to draw if you use a good reference. Who know?

Day 23 -

I don't have a crow addiction, YOU have a crow addiction!

Wing definitely is sized wrong, going to need to work on that before I do a good copy. Second pic is a quick lasso and transform to confirm for myself and boy oh boy did that ever confirm. Out of practice with feathered wings, that's for sure

Day 22 - Memento Mori

Simple one today

Black with white lines. Plague doctor standing in the middle of a field with hills in the background and mist around them. There is a massive full moon in the top left corner. There is a tall, leafless tree next to three graves on the top of the left hill, with a path winding around it. The plague doctor has an unusually long neck and what appear to be feathers around his neck. He has his arms folded in front of him, hands grasping each other under long sleeves. His attire is a long robe.

Day 21 - Mage

It was snowing today while I was at work. So I made a Yuki Onna Witch. Broom straw is coming out the bottom. I feel like it is pretty obvious, but anxiety says explain

A figure with a white witch hat that has icicles hanging from it. Her head is a black sphere with yellow eyes and icy blue hair, and is floating about her body, which is a simple white dress shaped a little like a pen nib with the tip cut off and melted to make a divot. Out the bottom is straw, like a broom. Her hands are not attached and are instead two floating orbs, both white. Shaded sections are a very light blue. The being is called a Wiccionna.

Day 20 - Rot

Day 3 - The Virus

35-40 minute drawing. Crowvid-19. Eh? Eh?

...Eh?

This one is from the 3rd of October. Like I said, I felt I needed to put up a better piece than today's

A black and white digital sketch of three crows. One has gaunt, empty eyes. One has a plague doctor mask and a little feather top hat. And the one on the right is strutting their horribly mutated self. Has an extra one to two legs, lower beak is all messed up, has an extra wing, and has an eye growing out of a wing. Day 19 -

Gradients are great when you don't feel like doing a bunch of shading

Not so great for good looking work

Oh well, a big part of Drawtober for me is to try out tools just to get ideas, it's not always going to look even REMOTELY good

A spike pit, with blood stained spikes. Sky is seen through top of trap, with clouds floating be. Gradients used to colour the hole and spikes to HILARIOUSLY bad effect

Day 12 -

A monster from my fantasy world, and is known as a Heclate

They are really dim witted to the point of forgetting they died and just get back up

Done on Oct 12, 2024, for my server's Drawtober

A black cat sitting down. Ears are large and triangular, making the silhouette of a hat. Face is round and white, with eyes at 3 and 9 o'clock. Eyes are Amber in colour. Has a blank look on face. Has an upside down smile on its face. Tail is whip-like and ends in a clock weight.
