of Lambda Erickson (Lam E.) as an expression sheet. She has slightly bovid-appropriate dental structure, hence the dental pad replacing her front top teeth.

In the winter, she wears a turtleneck (made from her very own wool) and jeans. In the summertime, she is shorn and wears a tee shirt and jeans, except at the beach, where she wears a modest swimsuit.

Hoping to include more expressions in the final piece.

Anthropomorphic ewe expression sheet with three expressions.

From left to right:

Hair tied, wearing a pink turtleneck and looking slightly critically to the right;

Hair tied, wearing a pink turteneck and grinning widely and bashfully, with her ears flopped down and her eyes closed, exposing that she has no front top teeth, as is the case in actual sheep;

Hair loose, wearing plum sunglasses with blue lenses and a pink swimsuit, with some shorn skin visible on her shoulders and upper chest, chin tilted upwards, smiling enigmatically and looking casually to the left out of the corner of her eye.

"The Guild Only Takes Pets"

(I watched the League of Super Pets movie about a month ago, and a few shorts popped up in my YouTube recommendations, so it was fresh on my mind.)

I wanted to have Spark E. reference the League of Super Pets, but I have this silly quirk where I want to be as closely in compliance with copyright law as possible, perhaps too frequently erring on the side of caution.

Panel 1 of 4: Anthropomorphic border collie in a blue tee shirt with "Arfs and Crafts" printed on it holds a picture of himself as a superhero and calls to someone off-panel: "Hey, Lammy? Do you think I would be allowed into the C D Guild of Power Pets if I had super powers?" The look on his face is uncertain.Panel 2 of 4:
A closeup of a self-portrait of a anthropomorphic border collie as a superhero held in the hand of the artist occupies most of the panel. Upwards in the panel and to the right, one can just discern that an anthropomorphic sheep with blond hair is sitting in a green chair behind a partial wall.

The ewe says, "No, Sparky, you'd also have to be an actual pet."

"Right," the border collie replies, "I'm not a pet."Panel 3 of 4:
The border collie has a sudden realization that shakes him to his core. Above and to the left is a paw print and a bone with a green checkmark underneath them. Above and to the right is a collar and food bowl with a red X underneath them.

The border collie says in a shaky tone:
"Wait a minute! If I'm a dog, but not a pet, that means..."Panel 4 of 4:
In the background, the border collie stands grasping his drawing in both hands. Comically large drops of sweat are flying off the sides of his head.
The anthropomorphic ewe, who is wearing a bright pink tee shirt labelled "Fleeced to make your acquaintance" sits in the green chair reading a book bound in green.

Border collie: "Lammy? Does that mean I'm actually a stray?"
Ewe (bored by the absurdity of the question): "You're getting awfully close to the fourth wall, little bro."

The cartoonist's signature is hidden in the lower right of the panel.

"A Hero-Dog's Gotta Do..."

The color of the lyrical addition really wore on my while I was trying to figure out how to make it pop without overpowering the rest of the image... It was a lot harder than one might think.

Lyrics are borrowed and modified from "A Man's Gotta Do What a Man's Gotta Do" from Doctor Horrible's Singalong Blog, sung by Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day.

Seen atop a skyscraper (implied by a diagonal, semi-horizontal series of rectangles stretching across the bottom of the canvas, a border collie superhero with a black and purple suit with a purple cape, eye-mask, dog's outdoor booties, and gauntlets, themed overall after electricity and an electrical outlet, stands with his hands on his hips. A swirl of dark clouds is behind him, with a patch of the night sky showing through at the center of it. The clouds are wrapped in lightning. The herois surprisingly muscular for the build of the dog (probably an intentional illusion in the crafting of the suit), and the purple accents of his suit seem to emit a soft purple glow. Modified lyrics from a musical number are written in a vivid green, embossed, and embellished on the overall image. They read: "Stand back, everyone, nothin' here to see... just imminent danger, in the middle of it: ME! Electro-Spark is here, fur blowing in the breeze; Your case needs my shocking expertise!" The visual artist's signature is shown in the lower right hand corner of the canvas.

Recently received the go-ahead to post this for a friend from work of his wolf .

I dawdled in the planning/concept stages, but on the actual image itself, I started and finished work on the same day.

I made the stamp brushes for the grass and . A few other asset brushes were used for the stars and soil.

An anthropomorphic brown and white wolf with black dreadlocks and a nosering, wearing jeans and a black tee shirt, reclines against his blue backpack on a bare patch in the grass in a clearing among a pine forest at the foot of a mountain range. He stares up into a night sky full of stars with a full moon. His figure, along with the landscape, is bathed in silver moonlight. An artist's signature is visible in the lower right hand corner of the canvas.

Storyboard excerpt from a skit I'm planning out, even though I haven't made the "I'm a Dogwood Now" skit into a proper video.

Proud to say I freehanded three layers of linework, placed the fill colors, cel-shaded the foreground elements, and airbrushed the outlines in about an hour.

Panel from a storyboard: closeup of an anthropomorphic sheep's hand activating a turn signal on a vehicle, seen approximately from her eyes. Her hand is a very light gray, and her hoof-like fingertips are painted with pink polish. The automobile is in drive, traveling about 60 miles per hour, and not in danger of overheating, according to the guages on the dasboard.

Printed on a plain tee shirt, via , for my nephew, who just graduated high school.

An anthro border collie in an azure-blue tee shirt and beige short pants sleeps on a chair on his back, with his right arm over the right arm of the chair, his left arm draped across his belly, his left leg over the left arm of the chair, and his right leg down in front of the chair. He seems to be snoring loudly. In cursive, above and below the image is a caption. "At long last... done with school!"

Reject Doghood; Become Dogwood!

Spark E. declares that instead of having carrot stew tonight, he will be photosynthesizing glucose to subsist upon.

And leaving the porch light on is non-negotiable.

Three storyboard panels superimposed over a woodgrain pattern. Image 5 of 7.

The anthropomorphic ewe turns away from the anthropomorphic border collie and says, "Okay, whatever. Dinner's at five-thirty. We're having carrot stew.

The border collie sticks one hand in his pocket and pulls out sunglasses, which he proceeds to put on. "That's nice, he says, I'll be here, photosynthesizing my dinner."Three storyboard panels superimposed over a woodgrain pattern. Image 6 of 7.

The anthropmorphic ewe stands aghast in the doorway to the house.

Her countenance becomes more concerned, as she declares her intent to call Doctor Ruhman.

The door closes with a click.Three storyboard panels superimposed over a woodgrain pattern. Image 7 of 7.

The anthropomorphic border collie, now wearing his sunglasses, calls to the left: Remember to leave the porch light on , okay, Lammy? Two Youtube video thumbnails are visible to the left, along with a subscribe button for Sparkler Erickson.

He leans a little further to the left and calls out, "My circadian rhythm relies on a midnight snack!" The thumbnails and subscribe button have faded.

The final panel is simply the word "End" underlined three times with a signature by the creator underneath. The sound effect of a bleating sheep is meant to play at this moment.

Reject Doghood; Become Dogwood!

At last! I have something to show for my last week or two of social media silence (aside from yesterday's repost).

Spark E. has had it up to his ears with the state of people-dom. He will be spending the rest of his life as a tree.

?

Three panels of a storyboard superimposed over a woodgrain pattern. Image one of seven.
An anthropomorphic ewe strolls past an anthropomorphic border collie. She is carrying envelopes and humming a tune. He is scrolling on his phone.
The ewe turns to him and says, "Um, Sparky. What are you doing in the garden...?"
Three panels of a storyboard superimposed over a woodgrain pattern. Image two of seven.

The anthropomoprhic ewe grimaces and continues her dialogue from the previous story boards: "...ankle deep in garden loam?"

Closeup of the anthropomorphic border collie's ankles, firmly covered in some kind of dirt. "Oh, this?" he answers. "Well, you see, I'm done being a person."Three panels of a storyboard superimposed over a woodgrain pattern. Image three of seven.

The anthropomorphic ewe looks at the anthropomorphic border collie incredulously. "You're done being a person, huh?" she says.

The border collie places two of his fingers against the center of his forehead, his eyes closed. "My dear sister..." he answers.

He then casts his hand to one side, palm up, continuing: "...of course I'm done!"Three panels of a storyboard superimposed over a woodgrain pattern. Image four of seven.

The anthropomorphic crosses his arms and gestures half heartedly to a dumpster fire to the left, saying "Have you seen the state of people-dom?"

"From now on," he says, raising his chin and closing his eyes, "I am a dogwood!"

The anthropomorphic sheep and border collie stand in silence as a comedy beat.

Spark E. is somewhat food-motivated, though encouragement is a strong motivator for him as well.

Got any treatos?

Also, !

Mini comic: An anthropomorphic border collie wearing an azure (blue) hoodie and beige sweatpants languishes on a green couch, one arm across his torso and the other draped dramatically over his forehead. "Nope," he says. "I have nary a spoon nor a fork to give. I'm burnt-out, emotionally exhausted, and one hundred percent done with all of it. Unless..."

A circular panel lies to the right hand side of the canvas. The dog opens one eye and makes eye contact with the viewer. "Have you got any... treatos?" he asks.
