Lam E.'s expression sheet is done.

Lam E. is Spark E.'s older adopted sister.
In the wintertime, she wears turtleneck sweaters made from her own wool.
She also uses the wool she saves from her springtime shearing appointments to make wearable gifts for her loved ones.
Pink seems to be her color, and she has a particular affinity for one particular hue.

This iteration of the exported image has no internal outlines added to the contours of the character.

A six-face expression sheet for an anthropomorphic ewe named Lambda Erickson, or Lam E., arranged in two rows and three columns. Background is pink with repeated daisy-head pattern and a slight shadow vignette.

Top left: wearing turtleneck sweater, hair tied, looking canvas-right, apparently either annoyed or offended.

Top middle: wearing turtleneck sweater, hair tied, grinning widely, eyes closed, exposing her pearly whites. She has the approximate dental structure of an actual sheep, with front top teeth replaced with an extension of her upper gum known as a dental pad. Her ears are drooped bashfully to the side of her head.

Top right: relaxed, wearing a tank top and blue-tinted sunglasses, showing a shorn neckline and shoulders, hair not tied, smiling with a Mona Lisa-like expression, leaning back, head tilted slightly upwards, quartering to canvas right, but eyes facing canvas left.

Bottom left: wearing pink tee shirt, hair tied, head quartering downward and canvas left, winking with her right eye, sticking her tongue out mischievously.

Bottom middle: wearing a pink winter coat with a gray fleece-lined collar and an off-white scarf with green and red plaid pattern, hair tied, looking almost straight at the viewer with blank-staring eyes and the corners of her mouth spread wide with an unimpressed look.

Bottom right: wearing turtleneck sweater, face quartering upward and canvas left, screaming in horror, eyes slightly red and looking downward and canvas right.

is almost over, and alas, I'm unprepared!

I'd thought to post this only halfway finished as a work in progress, but then Lam E. gave me this look for having the audacity to suggest it...

...and I labored to bring it to 90 or95 percent completion.

Her disapproval of me remains.

Lambda saves her fleece to make garments, for herself and others, such as the coat lining (her natural color) and scarf here.

Portrait of an anthropomorphic ewe with golden-blond hair, a white facial coat, pale pink nose and inside of her ears, and pale blue eyes with species appropriate irises. She stares blankly in the general direction of the viewer with a look of disappointment, her mouth drawn out flat to her cheeks. She wears a red scarf and one can see the gray fleece lining of the winter coat she is implied to be wearing. Her hair is tied at several intervals along the length of it. The background is pink with a repeated pattern of daisies and a multiply layer of a pale purple vignette.

"The Guild Only Takes Pets"

(I watched the League of Super Pets movie about a month ago, and a few shorts popped up in my YouTube recommendations, so it was fresh on my mind.)

I wanted to have Spark E. reference the League of Super Pets, but I have this silly quirk where I want to be as closely in compliance with copyright law as possible, perhaps too frequently erring on the side of caution.

Panel 1 of 4: Anthropomorphic border collie in a blue tee shirt with "Arfs and Crafts" printed on it holds a picture of himself as a superhero and calls to someone off-panel: "Hey, Lammy? Do you think I would be allowed into the C D Guild of Power Pets if I had super powers?" The look on his face is uncertain.Panel 2 of 4:
A closeup of a self-portrait of a anthropomorphic border collie as a superhero held in the hand of the artist occupies most of the panel. Upwards in the panel and to the right, one can just discern that an anthropomorphic sheep with blond hair is sitting in a green chair behind a partial wall.

The ewe says, "No, Sparky, you'd also have to be an actual pet."

"Right," the border collie replies, "I'm not a pet."Panel 3 of 4:
The border collie has a sudden realization that shakes him to his core. Above and to the left is a paw print and a bone with a green checkmark underneath them. Above and to the right is a collar and food bowl with a red X underneath them.

The border collie says in a shaky tone:
"Wait a minute! If I'm a dog, but not a pet, that means..."Panel 4 of 4:
In the background, the border collie stands grasping his drawing in both hands. Comically large drops of sweat are flying off the sides of his head.
The anthropomorphic ewe, who is wearing a bright pink tee shirt labelled "Fleeced to make your acquaintance" sits in the green chair reading a book bound in green.

Border collie: "Lammy? Does that mean I'm actually a stray?"
Ewe (bored by the absurdity of the question): "You're getting awfully close to the fourth wall, little bro."

The cartoonist's signature is hidden in the lower right of the panel.

And now, for something completely new!

I know, I know, Stuart's boot is on a tangent with the edge of the canvas, but I'm still kinda proud of this one.

Man was there a long tough process to this one!

An anthropomorphic wolf wearing a teal jacket, black gloves, black boots, a gray wool beanie and dark grey snow pants with fleecy trimming sits at the foot of a large haystack holding hands with an anthropomorphic blond ewe wearing a pink jacket, purple snowpants, purple gloves, and a purple aviator's hat with fleecy trimming and accents. Snow has fallen, mostly on the haystack and a little bit on the couple, but the sun looks like a mostly clear late-morning winter sky. Written in maroon with a fleecy looking brushstroke above them is the phrase, "Happy January!"

Oh, hey, Lambda and Spark E. ... I guess your bovine buddy Bebe, the Belgian Blue, was oblivious to your beholding...

That last bit of alliteration was a stretch, but so was Bebe's yoga posture.

4 panel comic:

In a yoga studio, an anthropomorphic border collie in a blue tee shirt and beige shorts is standing in the yoga tree pose. A halo encircles his head and he imagines himself in a simply drawn field at the foot of a range of mountains, with a tree and two lakes nearby.

The image dissipates around his head as he notices an anthropomorphic ewe in a sleeveless pink spandex and headband to the right, meditating in the chair pose, balanced perfectly on one hoof beneath her. They make eye contact with one eye each, and the halo is now present and more prominent around the ewe's head.

They then both look to the right, with the panel focusing on their faces. The border collie has a manga inspired look of shock on his face with a question mark and exclamation point in a callout balloon by his head, but the ewe is unfazed, and a cloud balloon with an elipsis hovers above her head.

In the end they are surrounded by a spiral galaxy in space, but they still cast shadows beneath them. The border collie has fainted and a chibi ghost emerges from his mouth. The ewe maintains the pose she was holding before. To the right, an anthropomorphic Belgian blue cow in greenish teal sweatpants and sweatshirt maintains a complicated, improvised yoga pose, balanced on her forearms beneath her, with her right back hoof bent over her back to touch her nose, which is bent backwards behind her. A halo encircles her head and contrasts brilliantly against the outer space background.

The planned ending to this 4-panel was altered twice while I was creating it, From this approximate ending to a wholesome one without a punchline, and then back to this exact one.

Anthro border collie (male) in light blue tee shirt and blue sits beside an anthro sheep (ewe) in pink tee shirt and blue jeans at a park. They are sitting on separate tree stumps. Border collie, pointing into the foreground: Look, Lammy! Billy has a service dog now. Camera angle shifts behind them to reveal an anthro goat in a vest, long sleeved shirt and slacks in a wheelchair holding the leash of a Labrador (non-anthropomorphic) wearing an orange vest warning not to pet the service dog. Border collie: I want to go over and say hi, but you can't pet a service animal. Camera angle returns to its original P O V. Collie's head rests sullenly in his palms, elbows resting on his knees. Sheep: It makes me proud to see you following those protocols. Collie dramatically makes a fist and clenches his eyes shut. Collie: It's for the good of society! Sheep, eyes half-lidded: Okay, Sparky, don't milk it.
