Streamed osu on twitch around 5 AM and I had a blast playing on nightcore with the approach rate on 10, turning the approach rate up to 11

I can see AR 11 pretty alright on 60 hz but once I see multiple circles on the screen, I just become dumb, like my brain just can't handle sequential processing when I only have 300 ms to react to each circle.

Also been playing on Vulkan renderer even though it's experimental. 3 hours and no hitch at all. I use Arch, btw

So, 4 hours later I have a working #archlinux on my Lenovo G500 laptop.
Helped by #gemini AI, which saved a lot of time, however, I will definitely do another install to practice and learn even a theory behind the practice.
Yet, it was wonderful to encounter an issue with sound and #PipeWire and despite some confusion (am I running this command as a #root or as a #user?), which would probably make seasoned veterans laugh, the repetition of commands actually helped.
It's definitely not easy task, but I will try to learn to use it. Because, why not, right?

For this weekend I've chosen "install #archlinux on a laptop".

Well, my Firefox on #archlinux has decided that a lot of certificates can't be validated any more so I fell back to using #qutebrowser until I find time to debug what's happening. A quick search didn't pop up other people with the same issue, so I suspect it's a me problem. :(

Okay, a 64 GB /var/cache folder is too much. It's time to purge.

You need to update the entire pkgbuild, as you're probably still pointing to gitlab and not #codeberg, where LibreWolf is now hosted.

WoW in #Archlinux has this freezing up issue, that only unfreezes when the WoW window is de-focused, either by alt-tabbing or hitting the Windows key.

This didn't happen in Bazzite, so I'm going to re-install it and see how I get on.

I'd like to be free of Win11 completely next reset if possible.

Edit: It's a definite compositor issue I'm fairly sure, thanks to Wayland being finnicky.

#autotools is when you can't even figure out how to make the thing install libraries to the correct location... even after patching all sorts of files that probably maybe have something to do with the installation target of those files... and eventually just move files manually...

It's really incredible how much of a time sink upstreams with this terrible build system are...
