My father joined Antifa in the 1940s. His well-funded cell was called "The 4th Armored Division, U.S. Army". His anti-fascist soldiers pushed the fascists back out of Normandy France, in the Battle of the Bulge. After the fascists surrendered and he survived the war (purple heart), he married my mother. For years, he and my mother attended Antifa reunions and anniversary conventions.
