I've been using my laptop quite a bit the past few days, since I've been away from home where my desktop machine is.

I'm currently running CachyOS with Xfce on my laptop. I kinda want to try something a little different, but without systemd.

The options I'm looking at are:

• Alpine Linux
• Artix Linux
• Chimera Linux
• Void Linux
• FreeBSD

And if I go with Artix Linux, the options I'm looking at are dinit or OpenRC. I kind of don't care for runit all that much. I mean it's a good init system, but I find it too bare bones for my preference. I've never used S6 so I don't have an opinion on it.

Also wanted to have a look at beta 7 and roll into the final release of Cosmic DE. Enter Artix Linux.
Now, that was fun, played with it this afternoon and it'll be promoted to a more prominent NUC soon. Ticks all the boxes!

Para quienes usen #artixlinux con #gnome tengan en cuenta que ahora los devs de artix dejaran de brindarle soporte al escritorio por la fuerte dependencia de systemd,esto puede ser malo o bueno dependiendo de como lo vean.
