Kirschen told me in 2021:

"We had one of the first 12 or 20 [Atari ST computers] ever made. And we were having trouble with it. We called up their engineers and they instructed me how to take off the radiation shield so you could see the chips. And then to press down on each chip to click it in. Because as it heated, [they moved] ... the chips were not soldered in place. So that was an interesting experience."
