🥋🌱 Max Urschl, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion, has just added another victory to his long list of achievements, winning the European grappling title!

After 13 years as a vegetarian, Max went fully vegan for the animals in 2018. “I am against animal exploitation, so I am vegan,” he says. Now at 40, he’s training and competing at a high level with no signs of slowing down. What an inspiration! 🌱💪

Max also proudly supports the Ein bisschen Wärme Lebenshof im Hunsrück, a sanctuary giving a safe home to pigs, cows, dogs, cats, rabbits and more. 💙

Image of Max Urschl, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion, with his quoted words, "The only thing I regret is that I hadn't switched to a vegan lifestyle sooner."

“it was quite fun taking a stand against some of the idiots in the sport, I had some DSs who were just fuckwits about food”
“At some point I realised that your job as an #athlete isn’t actually winning races, it’s – and this will sound corny – to inspire people to ride #bikes or run, depending on what your sport is”
