Yesterday featured a bicycle ride instead of a walk, which was a treat. I haven't biked in around 15 years, and missed it.

Here's a few photos from my yard; enjoy.

A thing I enjoy about is their brevity. A mountain stands for hundreds of years, the ocean longer still, but a flower blooms but once in life.

Any then, is offering you a treat; the labor of a lifetime. Savor it.

Happy y'all.

A few shots from today's walk; I made the trek out to a pink tree I normally only see at a distance. It was definitely worth the stroll.

Today I took a walk through my neighborhood, so y'all get pretty suburban instead of foresty nature stuff. You can deal, I'm sure.

A gorgeous blooming fruit tree - the best photo I took today. It might be a thundercloud plum, but if it is, it's blooming much later than mine did. Pale pink blossoms with dark burgundy leaves.A funky little flower in pale green.A deep red rhododendron.

Two photos from today's walk, and one from our budding tree. Good night, fine humans.

It's a wonderful season, enjoy it.

More progress on that I posted about a while back!

It's neat to see it slowly taking shape; I have no idea when (or if) the folks carving it will ever finish it, but it's cool in either case.

Bonus picture from the same walk. Take care of yourselves, humans. Touch dirt, love something, and stay yourselves.

A partially carved canoe, shaped from a long dead log.An especially charming growth of moss on the side of a large tree.

Noticed a couple today on my walk that seemed to be... fighting was my first thought, but is almost certainly wrong. Communicating, I would guess, though it looks to me like one of those slap-fights in cartoons.

@futurebird probably knows what they're up to.

(1/3) My wife and I went to visit the in again today, and MOAR things are blooming now than a few weeks ago. Spring is upon us, and my sense of impending doom greatly enjoyed the escapism it had to offer.

Of course, now she wants a couple-couple-couple-couple-couple . I'm not sorry.

A few photos from today's walk! The Wayerhauser building was looking especially pretty today.

today, which always makes my walks feel distinctly *different.* Part of that is mild hunger, weakness that's more psychosomatic than actually real. Part is a perceived lightness, as though I could run faster and jump higher. I find myself taking slower steps in contrast to that feeling, deeper breaths.

The Wayerhauser building in Federal Way WA is looking good!
