#TIL: Apparently there is a maximum of 10 issues that a single pull request can reference on #GitHub.

@purejava easily exceeds this limit with his PR, adding #appindicator support to @cryptomator, solving plenty of issues caused by the dreadful #AWT #tray icons.

It took some time and effort but we're finally there. We are so grateful for this contribution and I am sure, our #linux users will be as well! Thank you! 💚

For the record yes, that means if you have #Gnome's ATK-Wrapper installed, #Swing and #AWT both have #accessibility functional on #Linux (assuming you have all the other requirements for an #ATSPI setup to work installed as well, of course).

@dekkzz76 @wolf480pl @nytpu With some exceptions on #Java side maybe, depends if any of the #FreeSoftware JRE implementations actually do implement the accessibility parts of the spec.

There's also accessibility in #SWT, not just #Swing & #AWT, but I'm not sure if that works on #Linux either.

@stullekovski @cryptomator ja systray support in #Java unter #Linux ist in vielerlei Hinsicht ein Trauerspiel… Hier gibt auch leider nur einr uralte #awt API. Eine moderne #JavaFX API wäre eine willkommene Neuerung, aber da muss sich auch erstmal jmd finden, der das umsetzt.
