I hate to throw up qualifiers but if you actually take the time to put yourself in the positions of these young women and really bask in the story rather than try to rush through it, this might be one of the spookiest Fear Street books of the lot.

But can we talk about this cover? Does this feel weird and kind of… I don’t know… icky to anyone else?

I mean, there’s nothing misleading or disingenuous about this cover - I would actually say it does a good job portraying the sisters’ appearances. But the whole nightgowns and horror-stricken faces feels a little… I don’t know. Exploitative? Definitely SOMETHING. I just can’t put my finger on it.

My foot is still gouty painful, but I can walk on it gently with my boots on. We're aiming for a lazy(ish) day, which is good as I am very tired.
I woke up several times last night from reoccuring bad dreams about bad people racing cars around on the green near our house and tearing up all the grass and damaging trees and walls.
I went out to stop them and got stabbed in the ensuing fight!
I don't know how many times I had to dream that last night or where it came from but I am glad to be awake properly now.
Anyway, have a chicken!

I had a weird dream last night that I am still trying to process. It was a dream about someone else, no one I know in real life. I wasn't in it and no one else I know in real life was there.
Anyway, everything is going along in a normalish kind of way. The person I was dreaming about was young and developed a fixation on an older, very rich man. They were of the same culture, but were living as ex-pats in the same country.
Dreamt my late puppers had died but then come back, but was seriously injured, and I couldn’t get a vet. Ungh. #BadDreams
Sometimes I do not complain about being old and having a bladder that wakes me every night, because sometimes I really do not want to stay in that dream about terrible things that would be in a scary movie I would never voluntarily watch. 😳😩
