The bill would repeal the portions of the Comstock Act that anti-choice extremists intend to misuse to enact a nationwide abortion ban. Phil Scott keeps winning because the Democratic/Progressive coalition has a supermajority in the Legislature, and his veto is the only thing that slows them down from enacting their worst impulses. Scott has not faced a serious Democratic challenge for Governor, because the likely candidates don't want to lose to him.
Becca Balint will be POTUS, if she wants to be. The question is whether she does.
