We finally made it to a #vineyard and we tasted different #Barbera wines, pinnacle of the experience was the #Nizza Riserva DOCG. Absolutely stunning. High acidity, low tannins. Smoke, leather, game. First time ever I use a #decanter and large bowl wine glasses. Having this #Barbera with an appetiser of salami, cheese and crackers and then #pasta with #amatriciana. I didn't have the best impression of Barbera on my first try so this time decided to go for a Superiore. You do taste the difference. It doesn't have the complexity of a Nebbiolo but it's a great #wine! Taste of #blueberries and #smoke I'd say. #winetasting #winelover #winegeek
