I don't bicycle with groups much, but when I do a slow roll ride, I like to be the rear "sweeper" which is fine most of the time until you find out that sometimes most of the group will compete for that position. Not to be first, but to be the *last* in the group. It is slow roll, but it got to less than walking pace one time.

A vast majority of the articles are centered around Scottish gravel biking.
I'm just wondering if gravel biking is huge in Scotland? Serious question ... seriously.
Next year, Japan will institute tough new bicycling fines in a bid to counter an increase in accidents. Will it be effective? While pedestrians are applauding, many cyclists say the country should instead focus on building dedicated bike infrastructure instead.

Spring is also visible here because "Bike Share of Rushford" has bikes to check out when the Rushford Public Library is open. Really wish every Public Library had this option. Also wish they didn't still use "wheelbender" bicycle parking racks. Those types of rack are ubiquitous because they get recycled from place to place (kind of good) and most places that have them don't explore for the better "staple" kinds.

Spring is a very different look from the Winter view I took.

If there’s something like the bike of Theseus, this is it. The few parts that are original were bought twenty years ago. That would be the frame (though sandblasted and re-painted), the brakes and brake levers, the rear hub, the derailleurs and cranks. Everything else was replaced, some parts multiple times.
Is it still the bike that I bought?

In addition to meeting the court requirements that allow youth to have their court fines waived https://bikemonterey.org/youth-bike-and-sometimes-receive-citations.html, whenever possible, we also do what we can to encourage and support them in biking. Most frequently cited for no helmet or no light, the youth often come from families struggling below the poverty line. We are grateful when we can surprise them with a welcome gift such as this.
