As we were cycling into Edinburgh today, we passed a cycling tour guide and some French tourists. We overheard him ask “does anyone know what we call this kind of path in Scotland?” One of the tourists asked “bike path?”. The guide said “Ah, bike path is the English name. But in Scotland we have a different name”.

Great initiative by the residents in Ardkeen and along Williamstown Road and the Dunmore Road. We need our local government to provide proper segregated cycle paths in order to improve safety and reduce traffic by giving people the option to cycle safely instead of driving!
