The Brimbank Traffic School has long been a place where local residents of all ages can come and learn how to ride a bike and that hasn’t changed.

I woke up this morning with the sound of the radio... And some bad news illustrating again the stupidity of the human world... Actually a good and a bad news but the bad one is always stronger!!
Anyway I jumped on the saddle and rode my #grabelbike as fast as I could through the fields and Woods to hear the wisdom of the wind and the trees telling me
"Stay positive, keep faith, human beings can be great sometimes. Look they managed to create bikes!!!"

This morning ride was dedicated to elevation gain. I went to play my #hamsterbike game.
It doesn't look like on the picture but I am going up a 12% slope. Ok it is quite short but I did it enough time to ride 20k and 930m of EG which makes 10k ↗️ and 10k ↘️...

Yesterday I took a long #gravelride through time. 140km (go and return) across the country side from home to the museum of prehistory in Le Grand Pressigny since I am a great lover of very old stuff 😀.

Many country lanes, very muddy trails, a blue sky with beautiful white clouds and the perfect temperature for such a ride.

Finaly it took me longer than I thought with an incredible average pace of 13,5kph!! I had to walk my bike across very wet pass several times and I stoped to take a lot of photos.

I was the entire day in the good company of singing birds and roe deer in the fields.
So many good vibes!!!

This weekend was only a bit chilly in #Aurora, #Illinois. Our dog Ava enjoyed a nice long walk-- actually, more like a trot-- and I rode my bicycle. (I have heel spurs, so I ride slowly while she trots or runs alongside me.)

The kids in our neighborhood all know and love her, and she loves the attention. They came running from the playground to pet her, just as soon as they saw her.

After supper, Ava got comfortable resting at dad's feet. Somehow, his foot makes a nice pillow.

We did this 20 mile bike ride this weekend from #Capitola to the Seymour Marine lab north of #SantaCruz. My wife and I crossed over a 1000 bike miles each in 2024 this weekend. This is one of the nicer bike routes in the Santa Cruz area, IMHO. Starting at the Jade Street Park in Capitola, it is slightly inland for the first half then along the coast for the back half return to Capitola.

With all of the chaos surrounding us, it is a nice way to clear the head and get active outside in the fresh air.
