Color Theory: What’s the deal with the palettes I’m using?

Following a recent conversation, I wanted to write this blog to add some final pieces of context to my current interest in color palettes.
Binary Numbers
The Binary Numbers project was changed earlier this year following Trump’s inauguration. The original was inspired by simple musings on Data as Art. It was updated again in 2014 after the work had stalled due to technical reasons. I increased the complexity of the images, and incorporated Heritage Color Palettes.
But the end of last year and the beginning of this were exhausting. Two months were spent in protest:
But it seems that this alone was not able to tear the wheels off a tanker in Tienanmen Square… and so I decided on something uplifting. For myself, and for the viewer.
Cinema Palettes was a fantastic Twitter account that takes a scene (not necessarily iconic) from a film and analyses the scene’s colors, presenting back to us, the palette used.
I had been following it for a while and I became curious as to what I might be able to do with it in the configuration of my Binary Numbers.
And so from January this year I adapted the Cinema Palettes concept into this work starting with 50 new color palettes.

I updated a KDE based installation of mine in MX-Linux, a couple of days ago, it's updated rather often. For some reason the update sequence didn't want to update Nvidia firmware which I never ever use. The fix was to manually remove the Nvidia firmware, apt remove, and then let the update continue
Even though I never use their hardware Nvidia still tries to be problematic in Linux

Astronomers have revealed the existence of three Earth-sized #planets in the binary stellar system TOI-2267.
The discovery sheds new light on the formation and stability of planets in double-star environments, which have long been considered hostile to the development of complex planetary systems.
TOI-2267 is a compact #binary: two #stars orbit each other in a tight configuration, creating a gravitationally unstable environment for #planet formation.
Yet, researchers have identified three Earth-sized planets in short orbits, a surprising result that challenges several classical models of planetary formation.
The system is a true natural laboratory for understanding how rocky planets can emerge and survive under extreme dynamical conditions, where it was previously thought their stability would be compromised.

What is Binary?
According to novaTopFlex, the sole reason to mention binary is if and when mentioning binary digits. For instance, 1000 is 8 in binary, so 8 in binary is 1000. What is 6 in binary? What is 7 in binary? The correct answers, of course, would be 110 and 111, respectively.
