During my depression, I created a lot of #artwork Sharing it is a huge step for me. Too big to share with the world. But I created one piece especially for my psychiatrist. I gave it to him as a gift; it symbolizes my journey and his help in my recovery. This is a photo from yesterday, he (my psychiatrist) placed it in a spot together with a Charlie Hebdo newspaper. Together with the sunlight shining on my work, it somehow fit perfectly...

Un petit oiseau brun-roux strié de noir au bec courbé est perché tout en haut d'un tronc d'arbre mort très fin (plus fin que l'oiseau, qui est lui même tout petit). L'oiseau est vu de trois quarts dos, la tête tournée vers la droite de l'image. On voit quelques branches d'arbre dénuées de feuilles derrière lui, et un ciel bleu sans nuage occupe tout le fond. La lumière est dorée.

Snappy-looking pitta with a broad egg-yolk-yellow eyebrow, black mask, coffee-brown back, and finely barred underparts. Male has a yellow throat, black crown, and indigo belly patch. Female is similar but duller, with no indigo belly patch, a whitish throat, paler underparts, and a pale brown crown. Listen for its song, a series of well-spaced explosive but mellow “byow!”s. Widely distributed but uncommon to locally common; inhabits hill and lowland dipterocarp forests, where it seems to favor dry ridges, hilltops, and limestone areas.

Some of the cameras are struggling in this cold but I am glad they caught the Bluebirds that were visiting today 💙 My alias and logo are in reference to them, they used to be regulars here and I see them raise their babies every year, so I was so so so so happy to see them.
