It's so cold outside that I had to put on two coats to take a walk. PRO TIP: Wearing an N95 or KN95 mask when it's cold outside helps to keep your face comfortably warm and you also don't get snot and spit on your nice scarf. If you keep the mask on when you go into a crowded building, you also lower your chances of catching a respiratory illness. This picture shows a white tailed doe running over my neighbor's lawn.As I was walking down the street, I could hear red bellied woodpeckers screaming at me. This guy seems to be frowning. He's medium sized and has got black and white wings, a reddish orange stripe that extends from his beak, over the top of his head to the nape of his neck. His face, throat, chest and belly are off-white with an ill-defined reddish splotch on his lower belly. This medium-sized blue jay mostly feeds on the ground, but he perches up high first to get a good view of what's on offer. The blue jay is a light to medium blue on his head, back and wings. His face is white with black markings and his chest and belly are light gray.
