Hello #Fediverse, I‘m looking for a good tutorial on how I can distribute Internet and LAN via the cable infrastructure in my apartment. The configuration would be as follows:

Cable ISP -> Cable Modem -> MoCa 2.5 -> multiple devices (PCs, Switches, APs, ...)

Especially the part of an incoming signal from my ISP and distributing LAN over same/similar cables is creating some headaches for me.

Man kann es im Fediverse nicht oft genug sagen: wir haben hier keinen Algorithmus der Sachen populär macht.

My 16-year-old Sharp Aquos dumb TV has sadly finally given up the ghost.

Moin Leute ich brauche mal ein bisschen #fedipower zum Thema Mastodon / Activitypub Bots.
Gibt es eine einheitliche API mit der ich zum Beispiel bei Mastodon, GoToSocial, Misskey etc. Nachrichten / Bilder für einen Bot Account abliefern kann oder kocht da jedes Projekt sein eigenes Süppchen?

Ich habe für Emby ja schon Plugins für Telegram und Matrix geschrieben und würde nun gerne eines für das Fediverse bauen. Aber nur um ein paar Statusmeldungen abzuliefern wäre ein kompletter ActivityPub Client in CSharp wohl overkill (und auch ausserhalb meines Horizonts).

Vielleicht hat das Fediverse ja einen Tipp. Ich suche ein Feature Phone für 72 Jahre alte Mutter. Kein Smartphone damit kommt Sie nicht klar. Bisher hatte Sie ein Samsung B2100 das ist aber schon über 10 Jahre alt, das Display ist auch zu klein. Hat einer nen Tipp zu einem günstigen, robusten Feature Phone für Senioren. Ihr wisst doch sowas:
Wie ziehe ich Proxmox (2x Nextcloud-Container, Daten jeweils auf einer HDD) am besten auf einen neuen Rechner um, ohne die Platten neu befüllen zu müssen? Ich finde keinen Weg, die HDDs als Mountpoint in die neuen CTs zu bringen, ohne sie vorher zu wipen, was ja ein neubefüllen nötig macht. Ich hab aber keine so große Platte herum liegen, dass ich sie einfach einbauen und dann „klonen“ könnte.

Links zu Anleitungen wären toll.

Welche Lösung kennt ihr um von mehreren Geräte eine Präsentation zu erstellen und zu bearbeiten. Und zwar vom Laptop sowie vom Tablet, genauer gesagt iPad aus.

Meiner Meinung nach geht da doch wohl kein Weg an irgendeiner gehosteten Office Lösung vorbei oder sehe ich das falsch?
Was könnt ihr da empfehlen, was habt ihr da schon selbst eingesetzt.

hi hello #HiveMind, I've got an old VivoBook S15 X530UA that I bought in grad school.

It's running #PopOS #Linux and it's working great, no complaints. Outside of: The battery is shot. It will only get you like.... 25 minutes when not plugged in, which is 😬

Question: Where do people go for replacement #laptop batteries? Esp for old laptops? Tried battdepot but they don't seem to have this model. Bonus points if in #Edmonton area, or a Canadian online store.

2nd Hand, gute Linux kompabilität, unter bzw. um 200€.
Wird also auf irgendwelche Businnessgeräte rauslaufen.

Auf ebay kommen mir da zum Beispiel Dell Latitude 7390 unter, wäre das etwas passendes?
