Loblaws still has US wine on its shelf. Loblaws is being very shady with their "buy Canadian" marketing... I'm shopping elsewhere its hard to trust them.

I personally don't believe these 1 day no shopping boycott days will work cuz people will just do their shopping on the days that it's not being boycotted so how does that send a message? It's got to be long-term boycotts or nothing at all. I've been #BoycottLoblaws since the end of Jan 2024 & #BoycottAmazon around the beginning Dec 2024. I also canceled all my other subscriptions, Netflix & Disney+ until America deals with its fascism problem & I'm prepared to go further if necessary!
@javensbukan I'm good at boycotting, I have been doing #BoycottLoblaws for over a year & #BoycottAmazon since December 10th, 2024 & many others I can't think of to list but I don't frequent their businesses cuz of their political beliefs. This year's goal is to consume less to hit the billionaire's profit margins!

Gotta love a company that thinks, people don't shop here because they have a bad customer experience, the obvious solution is 'let's make it worse' assuming that customers are very stupid.
If no one shops there because of the low quality experience, it will go away. Like in Denmark.

The effect of the Loblaws boycott wasn't huge, but their food retail sales saw only an increase of 0.2% this quarter. This is on top of a settlement of $500M for bread price fixing.
Another way of looking at this though is that this quarter last year had a net income of $1.58 per share, but dropped to $1.48 per share this year, a year over year drop of 6.3%.

Here's my plan to address high grocery prices. We need to challenge the grocery oligopoly ourselves. I propose we start making cooperative grocery stores. Cooperative Corporations can still sell shares, it's that all members get to vote equally , regardless of the number of shares they have.
