Oh my goodness! You can enable login and logout sounds in KDE Plasma! 🎶

The Oxygen sound theme has such a nice jingle, too. It reminds me of the good old days. I'm keeping that.

You can enable it in Settings → Apps & Windows → Notifications → Login → Play a sound (See screenshot)

You can set a custom sound file, but a file from your current sound theme should already be default if there is one.

WILDFIRE SMOKE CONCERNS CONTINUE:

The northwest #breeze will keep bringing #wildfire #smoke from #Manitoba through the #Northland tonight and Friday.

Expect poor #airquality levels and #hazy skies, making it tough to #breath for some when outdoor.

Overall, take it a bit easy when outside.

Air quality levels over the Northland just before 5 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, shows unhealthy levels in the Arrowhead and Boundary Waters regions, with moderate levels covering most of the rest of the region. These numbers are courtesy of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Carlton, Cook, Lake, and St. Louis counties through 6 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, for possible unhealthy levels due to wildfire smoke coming through this region from Canada. An additional Air Quality Alert will be in effect for western Upper Peninsula for Friday, along with one for northwest Wisconsin for Friday and Friday night. The main flow for wildfire smoke coming from near Winnipeg continues to be southeast into the Northland thanks to a northwest breeze. The highest concentration of smoke Thursday night and Friday morning will be over the Arrowhead and Upper Peninsula regions.Eventually, this highest concentration will shift more west and cover other parts of the Northland throughout the day Friday, which will include the Twin Ports, northwest Wisconsin, and the Iron Range, as wind direction slowly shifts to the north as a cold front passes through the region. A decreasing wind speed Friday night and shift in direction to the south throughout the weekend will allow the smoke to dissipate by early next week.
