Hiding from the winter inside his hollow log.

As far as I can tell today was the first time he's moved at all since I got back from Japan on Sunday morning. The net result of his activity today is that he's gone from being inside his hollow log with his tail at the cool end to being inside his hollow log with his head at the cool end.

Good Morning fr #Pasadena. Been so busy since #AndyTheTortoise came out of #Brumation.

I’m doing well, but a few days ago, I started running out of energy so yesterday, I slept & rested most of the day and today I'm pacing myself & will work only indoors I think.

The weather has been gray and cool. Today 🌤️ & 18ºc (64ºF) far below our normal high of 26ºc (79ºF). But this weather suits me and my needs as someone with heart conditions, because of the meds which makes me very heat-intolerant. This is the time of year when I often start to struggle.

Andy is doing well. We had enough ☀️ to get him up and eating, but the weather is not yet seasonal and now we're deep in #MayGray weather so he did not eat yesterday. With ☁️ & only 18ºc (64ºF) he just sat in normally sunny spots, trying to heat himself with UV, but he was in bed by the time we went and got the food tray he had not touched. Without heat, he can't really function sadly. Hopefully the sun comes out later today.

Takes me a while to get used to the fact #AndyTheTortoise has gone into #Brumation. When I saw these hibiscus 🌺 flowers i immediately wanted to bring them to his area only to realize he’s in his crate (aka BIG #ColemanCooler) in the house 😆
