Rewatched Buckaroo Banzai (The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension) and realised it had seeped deep in the subconscious. It is a cult classic that makes very little sense but has all the cool. The end sequence walk of heroes seems to be directly referenced in Wes Anderson’s Life Aquatic.
About to go deep into the subject for a potential fan edit…
Also thought there could be a sequel made, but how many of the original cast are still around or would be into it?

I was today years old when I learned that the closing credits march in THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI involved the actors marching to Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl." Composer Michael Boddicker only had a tempo and a click track and used this to write the music, resulting in one of the happiest closing credits sequences in cinematic history!
A propos nothing, this is one of my all-time favorite trailers. It's for "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension"
It's funny how the trailer still holds up, even though it's from 1984. It doesn't suffer from the usual Hollywood 80s trailer symptoms. It gives nothing away and still shows you what kind of a quirky creature the movie is.
I only saw it once a few years ago, and I think it's time for a rewatch.

I just rewatched #BuckarooBanzai, and it was certainly entertaining. The intro where he drives through the mountain and saw all the creatures gave me nightmares as a kid.
