i admit that, given i never have lived in any high-rise building, to some extent i am speaking outta my arse here. however fwiw, when i read articles like this, with all the predictable boilerplate insipid pollie assurances of "nothing to see here, move along", i have only to then recollect the multitude of serious mid-rise & high-rise development failures of recent years in Sydney alone, to decide that all these assurances are meaningless & not to be trusted. furthermore, iirc, long before the hong kong disaster, & specifically after the grenfell disaster, strayan investigations into ingress of flammable claddings revealed a multitude of examples, with numerous occupied towers identified... & zero actual capability to solve the problem. you simply could not pay me enough to buy & live in a strayan tower tfn.
