"The Last Photo"

This is my very last photo from my 2004-2014. This was the very last photo I took, that I still have. This is East Houston Street in the LES, Manhattan.

I had lost my Nikon FM2 on the trainride back. This was the backup body loaded with color. It sat for a few months and I forgot about it until I was cleaning up. The artifacts come from accidentally exposing it because I forgot there was film in it. Two pictures weren't completely lost because they were at the bottom. This, and a shot of Katz's deli on Ave A.

This holds a special place in my heart. This is the last photo.

The most expensive apartments in Mexico City are located on a street with spectacular and inaccessible views. To document these privileged views, I created a fictional identity that allowed me to use my camera to access spaces where few others can live, exploring urban landscapes, luxury, and power.
