This #camelia bush was ready to join the failed list of attempted planting in our garden in the #MassifCentral, #France. For the first time since we planted it many years ago, and the poor growth it appeared to be outputting, it has now decided to produce a single #flower. As such, it has earned a reprieve for another year! Onwards and upwards!

My husband and I (OK, my husband) recently put together a gardening shed I purchased from Costco.

I bought blue stone from the stone store and made a small area for my potting bench.

Just down from the pond, a Japanese maple tree screens the potting bench.

A red camelia japonica in my garden is ready to bloom any day now.

I am going to the US Nationsl Arboretum for their yearly native plant sale tomorrow. It will be a great opportunity to photograph cherry trees in full bloom in a garden setting. Stay tuned.
