On this day of cheap #capitalist excess, here is a reminder to be kind to retail workers. Or else they'll move you to the back of the self-checkout line and you can deal with the talking ATM instead. Not that that happens to me. I'm nice to everyone at the little grocery store I frequent and they all like me. Sometimes the manager comes and checks me out at the service desk if I have only a few items #blackfriday

We don't celebrate any colonial commercialized holidays, like #Christmas. We don't really judge folks who do. I always encourage folks who choose to celebrate Christmas to not buy new stuff & try to gift homemade, handmade, gently used items or to regift unwanted, never used items, instead of continually contributing to the #consumerism that feeds the giant #capitalist machines.

Part of living truer to #degrowth & #AntiCapitalism beliefs is doing our best to not feed the capitalists more with rampant, unnecessary, consumerism.

If you do buy new - please try to support local, smaller businesses - especially very small operations that can't afford physical storefronts.
