Today out at the top Mont Sujet / Spitzberg (1382 meters above sea level / JN37ND) with the radio to have some very friendly QSO‘s. Today with the Jopix CB-514 handheld radio and the new diy L-Match. Cows forced me to search for a new place, which I found some meters below the top of the mountain.

Both radios are now working. I might be a few decades late to hear anybody transmitting but it was a fun repair. Another antenna would be needed to try getting one radio to transmit to the other but that is for another day as I have used this to procrastinate going outside all day and I should get a cycle in. #repair #cbradio

Today out at the former Coast Station Berne Radio HEB in Bern / Riedern (620 meters above sea level) with the radio to have some local QSO‘s. Today with the Jopix CB-514 handheld radio and the new diy L-Match.
And this is not a joke, Switzerland had from 1941 until 2016 a costal radio station.

This used to happen during the CB radio craze of the 70's.

Some perv would come on the channel and get everybody stirred up like a hive of bees.

Later someone would comment about the perv, like "did y'all hear that mess?"

But that person's signal had the same 60-cycle hum on it as the perv's.

Other clues:

-- microphone with a distinctive pop

-- same TV or fan running in the background.

One had to be careful! 😁

In spite oy my reputation, I was never a CB perv.

Network Type : L-Match

Wait for better weather to test. But with 4.4k resistor I can match a VSWR 1:1.1
