One of the best and most tranquil places in the heart of a city. Nottingham Road Cemetery in Derby, where the cow parsley, buttercups and bluebells are being allowed free rein along the paths. I love old Victorian cemeteries for their history, sprawl and wildlife. I heard the buzzards mewing there yesterday!

Graveyards are generally pleasant places to walk, and tombstones and monuments can be art or kitsch. Momento morae either way, which I find salutary. The point being old #cemeteries are full of the graves of children who died very young, mostly of diseases #vaccination would have prevented. #childgraves
