Probably the best bet for a nationwide news source that can be trusted is PBS and NPR. Probably its everyone's duty to strongly support them and ProPublica.

"In February 2024, without warning, YouTube deleted the account of independent British journalist Robert Inlakesh.

His YouTube page featured dozens of videos, including numerous livestreams documenting Israel’s military occupation of the West Bank. In a decade covering Palestine and Israel, he had captured video of Israeli authorities demolishing Palestinian homes, police harassing Palestinian drivers, and Israeli soldiers shooting at Palestinian civilians and journalists during protests in front of illegal Israeli settlements. In an instant, all of that footage was gone.

This past July, YouTube deleted Inlakesh’s private backup account. And in August, Google, YouTube’s parent company, deleted his Google account, including his Gmail and his archive of documents and writings.

The tech giant initially claimed Inlakesh’s account violated YouTube’s community guidelines. Months later, the company justified his account termination by alleging his page contained spam or scam content.

However, when The Intercept inquired further about Inlakesh’s case, nearly two years after his account was deleted, YouTube provided a separate and wholly different explanation for the termination: a connection to an Iranian influence campaign."

I have returned to TikTok as @greatbaldman. However, the algorithm (and the moderators) there censors me, completely shutting me out from being seen by anyone. So I'm only using TikTok to CREATE content. Because it is, let's face it, a very good point-and-shoot app. That's how I make videos fast. I'm then uploading these to YouTube, where I'm getting better traction. Maybe the TT algorithm will come around. Probably not. But that's a fix for now.

Not to be an ass, but corporations really can't censor you.

Censorship is a government using its sovereign power to (ultimately) lock you up for saying disfavoured things. It stops you from saying them anywhere, in any media, to anyone.

Corporations can stop you from using their property to spread a message they don't like. They cannot stop you from using someone else's property to do so, or your own, or using the public square. If some website says "You can't say that here" you are completely free to say it on millions of others, or start your own website and say it there.

Diluting the word "censorship" in this way endumbens political debate over what speech rights are.
