a rustic raku ceramic kurinuki cottage glazed in white with green plant carvings and purple, violet, and indigo flower carvings on the walls. the roof has a chimney and is glazed in brown with hints of white and carved to look like thatch. the cottage has a cute little doorway and lots of windows. the house is sitting on a piece of pale wood, and there's grey muslin behind it. next to it on the right is a green sprig of oregano, and next to it on the right are an orange calendula flower and two red autumn-sage flowers.

I had a several month break in taking pottery classes, and was worried that I would lose the knowledge I had built – but to my relief I picked things up quickly again when I recommenced classes. ☺️

One thing I particularly love about pottery is the trimming process (see https://www.lakesidepottery.com/Pages/Pottery-tips/Trimming-a-pot-Lakeside-Pottery-Tutorial.htm ), and I enjoy carving layers and textures as part of that process.

Moved Peter's older clay, loaded 1500lbs of new clay into the pit, and moved the older clay on top. Have 1500lbs of other clay to load into the pit still.

This was the first large-ish pot I made on the wheel. Someone put a dent in the edge, so I decided to go along with it and created a ruffled edge.

My sister is making these awesome ceramic tree ornaments, and I just made a simple fancy hook to hang the one I got. I don't actually have my tree up yet, so goofy picture of it hanging on a houseplant. #MastoArt #Ceramics

Looking through some long foreground leaves at a crook of a houseplant's trunk, where a holiday tree ornament is hanging. The ornament is round with intricate doily-like patterns in the ceramic face. The glaze is a swirl of beautiful white, purple, red, and orange. It's hanging from a silver looped hook.
