John "Cheech" Garrett was a mediocre goalie (by his own admission!) during his career and a great hockey analyst and fan of the Vancouver Canucks.

It’s really nice that he got this stat confirmed for posterity. His moustache deserves it.

It’s a very sports fan thing to be sad when a colour commentator retires, but I am, so I am. John Garrett, colour guy to John Shorthouse play-by-play for the Vancouver Canucks retired tonight. He was a rare voice that knew when NOT to add in his two cents.
