I hope no one misses that crazy old "Republican" Donald Trump is proposing a Child Tax Credit for the wealthy.

A virtual roll call vote occurred earlier this month to get ahead of ballot certification deadlines in Ohio, & while #KamalaHarris is technically already the nominee, the #DNC will have to certify the vote, & #Harris will formally accept the nomination by the end of the week’s events.

Harris & #Walz, along w/key #Democratic leaders, are expected to further lay out their #policy vision, including on their stances on #PriceGouging & expanding the #ChildTaxCredit, which they unveiled last week.

While I will be voting for Kamala, I am skeptical of expanding the #childTaxCredit again (especially to such a high amount and to such a wide range of people).

If we don’t start properly enforcing #antitrust laws, what is to stop this extra pool of money from being inflationary?

To address poverty, it would be better to focus on labor rights and raising the minimum wage (while using #antitrustLaws to keep prices in check). I prefer to earn enough from my job vs from the #government. #inflation

During his interview on #ThisWeek this morning, after it was pointed out to JD #Vance that his call for "parents to pay less in taxes" was just the Dems "#ChildTaxCredit" that #TFG and the #GOP rejected, he argued Republicans SUPPORT the CTC, but "it just wasn't big enough" (so instead: nothing.) 🙄

I hope everyone realizes now that T****/Vance stand for absolutely nothing and have NO principles they won't sell out once it's revealed they now support something they opposed.
