Idag kom det nya garnet till mina röda julhjärtan med posten, och jag kunde testköra det. Visst står det rekommenderad nålstorlek på nystanet men det är inte alltid det stämmer med hur man virkar, och eftersom det här är ett nytt märke var jag tvungen att testa om samma nål som jag använt förut även fungerade på det här märket. (Friends Cotton 8/4 Mercerized)
Och ja, mycket riktigt fick jag från 3,00mm till 2,5mm.
Men nu är jag redo att virka julhjärtan när jag pendlar till och från jobbet.

Today the new yarn for my red Christmas hearts arrived in the mail, and I was able to give it a test run. Sure, the recommended hook size is written on the ball band, but that doesn’t always match how you actually crochet, and since this is a new brand I had to check whether the same hook I used before would also work with this one. (Friends Cotton 8/4 Mercerized)
And yes, sure enough, I had to go down from 3.00 mm to 2.5 mm.
But now I’m all set to crochet Christmas hearts on my commute to and from work.
