"I have been using the LaCrOs version of Chrome for more than a year, and I was devastated when I read Robby’s post about Google shutting down the LaCrOs experiment in the near future. “Devastated” might seem like a bit of an overstatement, but let me explain.

The most valuable feature of LaCrOs was the ability to create multiple Chrome profiles. To those of you who use a Mac or PC as your primary device, [chrome profiles have always been available.]"

For some reason, chrome profiles were not available on chromeOS until the lacros flag was made available in 2022. this greatly increases the utility of chromebook by allowing users to seamlessly switch between chrome profiles as can be done on windows and mac.

But this would be a big impact for users who have grown accustomed to being able to use chrome profiles. so "no impact" is a lie. will chrome profiles be added in chromeOS128 or what...

draft - on chromeos in the play store, the opera browser is a full desktop style browser when you download it from chromeos.

firefox and other browsers should do the same.

give us a full desktop level browser, or at least the option to do so when downloading from a chromebook via the play store

my review - hands down the best thing for chrome ever. developer. please create a tip jar for yourself so you can be rewarded for your work and continue working on the greatest thing for chrome. it's so good that it feels native. feels like an official native product. Its your bookmarks, but instead of a tiny sliver of text links, you get a nice full screen grid layout, the way it should be.

wow. this should be the top new home page. thank you to the developers.

could we get an option for an animated folder opening? and maybe the folder would open as a large
square over the main bookmarks view so that, we could easily tap anywhere outside that to go back to the main view? what do you think? thank you.

additional thoughts / ideas

- maybe an "undo" button that appears after something is moved or changed to help users out a bit
- maybe when we tap a folder, it open in a quick smooth animated way, similar to how app folders on Nova Launcher / Android / iPhone / iPad open up. then we could tap outside the folder area to go back to the main view

xpost - draft - ideas - In Microsoft teams, when you goto create a new chat, there should be an option to classify / specify the chat as a “quiet chat” so that, even if each member of the chat has notifications turned on, in this chat, there would be zero notifications.
