I literally just saw a cicada trip over an ant on my back patio. 😂

I don't know why that's so funny to me right now, but it is!

There's a dying cicada that managed to get inside today and I haven't been able to find it, but once every hour or two it makes unbelievably loud Predator noises and startles the fuck out of me. RIP my sleep tonight!

On my way down the mountain in a hot humid summer evening, I saw and heard a cicada singing against the sunset. After I took the shot, it stopped singing, slowly moved toward the dark side of the tree trunk and then began singing again.
