Qualche idea
Le soluzioni non sono così complicate, spiega Bassam, e in un attimo elenca un’infinità di idee per rendere la Jaarbeursplein, ma anche qualsiasi altro spazio pubblico, un luogo dove le donne si sentano più al sicuro: collocare più bar o posti dove potersi sedere per attirare più persone – e quindi più occhi – per la strada anche di sera; un chiosco che resta aperto fino a tardi; delle vetrine, che spesso restano illuminate anche la sera; spostare la fermata del tram e metterla vicino a un bar, con le pensiline aperte, senza manifesti pubblicitari ai lati che bloccano la visuale.Oppure costruire un piccolo parco, con sentieri ben illuminati e senza recinzione. Le strutture per lo sport andrebbero messe in un luogo riparato, non di fianco alla stazione dei taxi come qui. E preferibilmente in una posizione rialzata, in modo che le donne abbiano una visuale migliore.
