My first attempt with the Minitrack LX3 was very promising. This small mechanical tracking mount has the potential to become my permanent travel companion on vacations.

I think a blogpost might follow.

Back from a hike in the woods. I didn't expect I would put on my old, worn-out hiking boots (which are tearing apart at the sides slightly and are far from waterproof any more) in December, but we got 8°C and a clear blue sky today, no snow left at all, so I went with it - and it wasn't even a bad decision.

Statistics: 22.3km, elevation: 724m-953m (+530m/-530m), 4h:51min (including a 27min break)

I released a new Astrophoto: A Planetary Nebula - Sharpless 188, Nov’25

Made optimal use of two nights. Quickly refreshed the collimation of the Cassegrain and completed the imaging session without any notable problems.
