OK, Advent calendar, I'm sensing a pattern. Another from the same Irish distillery as yesterday: Midleton's Barry Crockett Legacy @ 46% ABV. Vanilla, oak, citrus, and apple on the nose; orange marmalade, cinnamon, and more vanilla on the palate; all of that lingers into the finish, which turns peppery.

A photograph of a crystal glass of amber-colored whiskey on a wooden surface from above, surrounded by the original six murder weapons from the game of "Clue": a ring of rope, a (toy) handgun, a dagger, a wrench, a pipe (no lead pipe scraps in the house, so copper), and a candlestick.

Here's my full set of builds for the 40th anniversary of Clue, released on this day in 1985. I think it's arguably the best comedy movie ever made, or at least in the running. But oh, what's this? A special guest, and he's not doing so well. I wonder what happened to him? 🤔

Render of LEGO models of the main cast of the movie Clue. From left to right are Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Wadsworth, Yvette, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Professor Plum. To make a long story short, one by one they all arrived, and most now carry deadly weapons. They all stand in an arc around Mr. Boddy, who is lying on his back. Maybe he was poisoned? Well, they'd better find out who killed him, and where, and with what. At least there is safety in numbers. But there's one thing I don't understand—one plus two... plus one...

Miss Scarlet was actually the first build I did for this series. But I left her until now since she arrives last along with Professor Plum. I'm especially proud of this one—I think she's instantly recognizable with her dress, hair, scarf, & candlestick. Clue turns 40 tomorrow!

I struggled with the colors of Professor Plum's suit before settling on what looked best to me, even if it doesn't quite match the movie. His outfit doesn't change much, but I mussed up his hair from all the running around. I also giggled uncontrollably when I added his pipe.

Next up for Clue's 40th anniversary is Mr. Green, arguably my favorite of the cast (it's a close thing with Colonel Mustard). In stark contrast to Mrs. Peacock, his outfit—and consequently the build—is quite simple. But as usual I had fun trying to get the hair just right.

Of all my builds for Clue's 40th anniversary, Mrs. Peacock was the most intimidating given the complexity of her dress & accessories. I wasn't able to make her cat eye glasses, but I think I did a pretty good job with her fur stole & hair, plus an alternate late-evening outfit.

Next up from my Clue 40th anniversary builds is Mrs. White, both in the outfit she arrives in and the dress she's in for most of the movie, along with the rope. I'm especially proud of her veil—I knew that part would look great, but pleased that I found a way to connect it.

Makes sense to post my Clue 40th anniversary builds in the order of their arrival. So our first guest is Colonel Mustard, both with his hat & jacket, and later—with the wrench. He's one of my favorites, with a great mix of physical humor and fantastic exchanges with Wadsworth.

It's been a while since I've done character builds in this style, but I've wanted to make the main cast of Clue for years now. And what better time than with the 40th anniversary coming up on 12/13? I'll start things off with Wadsworth and Yvette, with the rest following daily.

This weeks finds - it wasn't a great week for the flea market - but I did find Clue The Movie on DVD, nothing special about it, just a fun movie.

And I found Fading Suns 1996 Sci-Fi RPG don't know much about this game, I know there was a D20 version and this version, and I know the price of $8 dollars is a really good deal. So I bought it!

Konnte am WE jeweils eines der #Krimi Spiel von #HiddenGames und das #Clue Robbory at the Museum spielen.
War ein Rätsel starker Abend. 🔎

the play as well as the movie have been a thing in our house during the past few months.

13yo just now said that the creators of Alexa are "thoroughly unamerican."

I am delighted. 😄
