The building is constructed with stone on the lower level and features white timber framing with exposed beams on the upper level. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with slate tiles. The upper story slightly overhangs the lower part, supported by prominent wooden brackets.

In front of the building, there is a pedestrian crossing with a traffic light showing a red signal for pedestrians. Several people are walking on the cobblestone pavement, and there are shops adjacent to Aberconwy House. The weather appears clear with blue skies and scattered clouds, suggesting a pleasant day. This picture depicts an interior of Aberconwy House, characterized by its rustic, exposed wooden beams and plastered walls. There's a wooden-framed window on the right side, partially covered by a light curtain, allowing natural light to stream into the room.

This picture captures a suspension bridge leading directly towards a historic stone castle, framed symmetrically. The bridge has vertical cables connected to thick suspension cables running along the top. The pathway is flanked by white railings with crisscross lattice designs. The castle in the distance features multiple tall, round towers with crenellated battlements, giving it a medieval appearance. A single person wearing a blue jacket is walking towards the castle, adding a sense of scale. Although the postcard this photo appears on is postmarked #OnThisDay 21 June 1955, 70 years ago today, the image itself dates back to at least 1890.

A reverse image search led me to the special collections database of University of St Andrews where this photograph of Swallow Falls, Betws-y-Coed, was a part of Scottish photographer James Valentine's collection.

Flipping the postcard over and, sure enough, it's a "Silveresque" postcard published by Valentine & Sons Ltd of Dundee and London.

Other search results also show this photo has been reproduced many, many times.

The contents of the postcard message itself is addressed to Mary from what looks like Doris & Rosemary (I don't think I'm aware of who they were). They're visiting Betwys-y-Coed, enjoying the beautiful scenery, but found Colwyn Bay "too quiet for us".
