#cookery / #cooking people: I've just been cooking chicken wings. the recipe calls for me to roll the cooked wings in a mixture of uncooked paprika and curry powder.

In an unusual date night activity for @fleeblewidget and I, this week we tried making pies together... while @fleeblewidget was blindfolded and I was forbidden from giving her verbal instructions.

It was really challenging, and pretty stressful... and lots of fun. I very much enjoyed that it made us stretch our communications skills (which is fundamentally sexy and therefore excellent date night material).

Last night I made (started) pizza dough. First a chaotically shaggy mess, then an elastic mess, then shiny elastic blob. This morning it’s a huge bubble monster. I need to intervene and fold away those bubbles 🫧, awaken the elastic glutens, then cut the thing apart into quarters for a chill session.
