A wooden embroidery hoop with old, thick, handwoven linnen. Above is a tin full of colourful embroidery floss. Beneath ist a golden, flowery looking embroidery scissor. The embroidery: a big red heart with 4 simple flowers crossing the red embroidery. Inside in turquoise, blue violet ist the text "SMASH THE PATRIARCHY" embroidered, flanked by stars. Underneath is another red flower with green leaves. A needle with yellow thread is woven though the fabric. The work seems to be finished recently, you can still see some of the pencil lines of the sketch for the embroidery.

A collage art brooch, under 10 cm long and quite rectangular. On a piece of jeans fabric are applied different pieces of pure silk in blue, blueish green and some pink colours. Intuitive stitching is used to fix them. One piece is an old cross stitch embroidery in blue on white. The red word RESIST is embroidered beside the crosses. The piece is still not yet finished. All material is from reutilisation.

Does anybody else love an outcome they hate the process of? The design for my next charity knit along has an icord edge and bind-off. I love the way it looks, but find it so tedious... #Knitting #Craftivism
