#Crassula columnella ist eine #Sukkulente aus #Südafrika die sehr langsam wächst. Wer wenig Platz hat, kann mit kleinen Sukkulenten eine schöne und vielfältige Sammlung haben.

Eine Pflanze in einer Handteller großen, Halbkugel förmigen Steingutschale in brauner Farbe mit grober Oberfläche.
Die Pflanze besitzt etwa 10 Triebe in unterschiedlicher Länge. Der längste ist ca. 5 cm lang. Die Blätter sitzen paarweise, sehr dich gedrängt. Die Triebe haben eine quadratische Form im Querschnitt. Die Blätter sind grün, an der Basis rötlich-gelb. Die Stiele kann man nicht sehen, da sie vollständig von den dichten Blättern verdeckt sind.

Went to the ISIJ cactus and succulent show at the Ōfuna Flower Center today! My haul:

Euphorbia horrida. The staff at the show pointed out that the tag is ambiguous as to whether this one is variegated or merely a pup from a variegated parent. We agreed that it was a nice specimen either way!

Crassula “Yumechigo” (夢稚児). I love these white, chubby tower crassulas. I think it’s a hybrid of C. deceptor (稚児姿) and C. cornuta (夢殿), hence the Japanese name.

#Crassula socialis blüht fleißig im Frühling. Eine pflegeleichte #Sukkulente aus Südafrika.

Auf einer grünen Rasenfläche steht eine Pflanzschale. Sie ist sehr dicht mit einer kleinblättrigen Pflanze bewachsen. Über der Pflanze sieht man zahlreichen weiße kleine Blüten, die auf dünnen Stängel stehen und über der Pflanze zu schweben scheinen.

The world is a busy place, so it's nice to get some rest once in a while, like this little crassula ovata plant being, enjoying a bath. :ablobcool:

Inspired by real events, although I have no insight into how much the real sapling enjoys its stay. :bunhdlurk: (I suppose it would prefer not to be on a water based diet, but the rest of the plant was beyond saving and it needs roots.)

#Blüten der kleinen "Schaschlik-Pflanze" #Crassula rupestris ssp. marnieriana. Diese #Sukkulente blüht im Winterhalbjahr über Wochen.

Auf dem Bild sieht man eine Pflanze mit vielen kleinen weißlichen Blüten. Die Blüten sitzen in Dolden an den Enden der Triebe. Die Triebe sehen ein wenig so aus wie lange grüne Raupen mit rotbraunen Streifen. Die Blätter mit einem Zentimeter Durchmesser sitzen sehr dicht am Stängel.

Début décembre, l'arbre de jade a fleuri. Puis sorti quelques racines aériennes ainsi que de jeunes pousses. Au premier janvier c'est toujours là et je pense à Guy, qui nous l'avait offert. Guy n'est plus là mais sa librairie, si, et son arbre fleurit.

Bon an vaillant arbre de jade. Puissions-nous nous aussi en 2025 nous épanouir et nous rétablir.

Für Pflanzen ist die richtige Menge Licht überlebenswichtig, weil sie so die Photosynthese, und damit Ihren Stoffwechsel sicher stellen können.
Ein Altbekanntes Phänomen ist das sich der Lichtquelle zuwenden der Pflanzen.
Bei dieser Crassula ist ganz deutlich zu sehen.
Die meiste Blattoberfläche zeigt zur Lichtquelle.

Closeup of the first open bunch of crassula moonglow flowers, from above. It is a portrait style pic, the open flowers, inthe bunch closer to the camera, are in focus and the second and third flower bunches, still closed, are out of focus as well as the white hexagonal pot. Another white pot is in the background. The pots all sit on a wood surface.
Around 20 open flowers are in the compact, in focus, bunch. They each have 5 white pinkish petals, with a dark pink stigma in the center, pink filaments that make the center look like a firework and tiny yellow anthers on each.

I got my first succulent 6 years ago, and I quickly discovered that they indeed can be killed.
I have learned so much, and grown my collection to over 50 plants, losing less that 1 a year.
This year I am being rewarded with flowers!

Several types of succulents in hexagonal 2 inch pots are shown: echeveria, pachiveria (maybe? Not sure), 2 jade plants and a donkey tail. A prickly cactus is blurry in the background. In the center of the picture, also in a hexagonal pot, is a crassula moonglow. It is yellowish green, and it has tightly stacked thick leaves. Growing from the top of the plant are 2 bunches of about 30 yet-to-open flowers, the tiny buds are pinkish-white.
